Terms of Service — LegChinese

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LegChinese ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LegChinese is a web-based Chinese language learning platform offering HSK vocabulary flashcards, spaced repetition review, and community mnemonics. The Service is provided at www.legchinese.com.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when registering. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Pro and Lifetime plans are available for purchase. Subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Lifetime plans are a one-time payment with no recurring charges.

5. Free Tier

HSK 1 and HSK 2 content is available free of charge with no time limit. We reserve the right to modify the scope of the free tier with reasonable notice.

6. User Content

You may submit mnemonics and other content ("User Content"). By submitting, you grant LegChinese a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content within the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; (c) scrape, copy, or redistribute content without permission; (d) submit abusive or harmful content.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code of the Service (excluding User Content) is owned by LegChinese. HSK word lists are based on the official HSK 3.0 standard published by Hanban/CLTC.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LegChinese shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
